Three days provides enough time to experience several different landscapes without taking too much time from a wider Vietnam itinerary. October's cooler conditions can make full days on the road particularly enjoyable.
The journey begins in Ha Giang and moves north through Quan Ba and Yen Minh before reaching Dong Van. The scenery gradually changes toward the distinctive rocky environment of northern Ha Giang. The first night is spent in Dong Van.
Day two moves through the Ma Pi Leng and Meo Vac area before continuing toward Du Gia. The Wings itinerary includes the Sky Pass experience, mountain viewpoints, Sa Li Pass, Lung Ho Viewpoint and Du Gia Waterfall.
The final day continues through quieter landscapes around Duong Thuong, Thai An and Thuan Hoa before returning to Ha Giang. Villages, valleys and mountain roads continue throughout the return journey.
Cooler conditions can make the route comfortable, while seasonal flowers and autumn scenery may appear in parts of the northern plateau.
Choose 3D2N if you are visiting Ha Giang for the first time, have a limited Vietnam schedule or want the classic Loop plus Du Gia without committing to four days.
